A study found the most common thing people would like to improve about their smile is to have whiter teeth. Coffee, tea, and red wine, tobacco usage, age, and medications are all common culprits for causing discoloration of teeth.

Teeth whiteners contain either hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, which serve as tooth bleaches. These bleaches act by breaking down stains into smaller pieces, making the color less concentrated and making your teeth brighter. Whitening will not work on crowns or fillings. It is also more difficult to whiten gray tones than yellow tones. 

At-Home Bleaching from Lignum Dental

Your dentist will provide you with a custom-made tray, similar to a night guard. You will receive instructions on how to place the bleaching solution and for what length of time.
